About Us
We were married on January 18th, 2003, in Chicago, Illinois. Our son, Luke Gregory, was born on August 25th, 2004, in Chicago. Our daughter, Abigail Lyn, was born on July 3rd, 2006, in Arlington Heights, Illinois. We live in Arlington Heights, Illinois, where Greg is a Manager for a team of Project Test Managers with Bank of America. Katy now works at home full time as Luke and Abby's mother, but was a social worker in a school for the Learning Disabled. Greg grew up in Northern Michigan in a little hamlet called Gaylord. He graduated from Taylor University, in Upland Indiana, in 1994 with a B.S. degree in Business/Information Systems and a minor in Accounting. Some of his hobbies include sports - especially hockey, baseball, football, and basketball, camping, hiking, traveling, hunting, music (I was in a band called Vine, with whom I played the bass), computers, and computer sports simulations. Katy grew up in Winnetka, Illinois, where she graduated from Regina Dominican High School. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota. She has a Master's Degree in Social Work from the Jane Addams School of Social Work at Illinois-Chicago. Katy is an avid photographer and is pursuing a side business in photography. We attend a great church called the Orchard Evangelical Free Church. We serve on the staff of the High School ministry here, which we love doing. Some of Greg's favorite movies include the Lord of the Rings trilogy, Braveheart, the Shawshank Redemption, Saving Private Ryan, the Bourne Trilogy, Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, Gladiator, and anything by Alfred Hitchcock. A few of Greg's favorite bands are U2, Thrice, Blindside, Bill Mallonee, the Vigilantes of Love, Dashboard Confessional, Further Seems Forever, King's X, Thursday, Lifehouse, the Juliana Theory,and the Counting Crows.
